This paper aims at analyzing the international diffusion of e-government policies.
Advanced countries, including Korea and Japan, have engaged in fundamental e-government initiatives, including the computerization of administrative affairs, online publication of administrative information, and integrating information and communication technology (ICT) into their procedures. Recently these countries have gone even further in these initiatives, introducing the ideas of “digital government” and “service design.” This paper analyzes the shift to digital government and introduction of service design in those countries.
