중국 경제의 비약적 발전은 중국 국민의 생활수준 향상과 더불어 어린이 방의 아동가구에 대한 수요와 안전한 가구 디자인에 대한 요구도 빠르게 증가하고 있다. 본 논문은€아동가구를 직접 사용하는 아동에 대한 이해를 위한 기초 연구, 아동가구의 안전성에 관한 분석하였다. 더불어 중국상해 지역의 20 가구를 중심으로 아동가구의 옷장, 책상, 침대를 연구 범위로 정해 이를 구조의 안전성, 재질의 안전성 그리고 색채의 안전성의 세 가지 측면으로 나누어 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 아동 가구를 디자인할 때는 가구의 구조적 안전성을 고려하는 것이 중요하다. 재질의 강도가 높아, 가구의 모서리부분에 원각 설계를 적용하여 어린이가 활동 중에도 상해를 입지 않도록 해야만 한다. 둘째, 아동가구는 재료의 부드러운 특성을 고려하되 재질의 안전성 또한 제고해야 한다. 더불어 유해물질인 포름산 방출량 등의 페인트 도료의 안전성 기준을 검토해 아동가구의 안전성을 높여야 한다. 셋째, 취학아동과 미취학아동 모두 고명도, 고채도의 색을 선호한다는 박문성(2015)의 연구결과에 따라 고채도 고명도의 색을 사용하되 고채도 고명도의 색상이 주는 눈의 피로감을 감안해 저명도 저채도의 파스텔톤 색상을 전체적으로 사용하고 손잡이 같은 부분적 요소에 고채도 고명도의 색상 선택을 디자인 제시하였다.

With the rapid development of Chinese economy, the demand for children's furniture in children's rooms and the design of safe furniture are rapidly increasing along with the improvement of living standards of Chinese people. This paper analyzed the basic research for understanding children using children's furniture and the safety of children's furniture. In addition, with 20 households in Shanghai, China, children's furniture wardrobes, desks, and beds were selected as the research scope and analyzed by dividing them into three aspects: structure safety, material safety, and color safety. As a result, first, when designing children's furniture, it is important to consider the structural safety of the furniture. Due to the high strength of the material, a circular design should be applied to the corners of the furniture so that children are not injured during activities. Second, children's furniture should consider the soft properties of materials, but also enhance the safety of materials. In addition, safety standards for paints, such as the amount of formic acid released as hazardous substances, should be reviewed to increase the safety of children's furniture. Third, the pastel color of low saturation and low saturation is used as a whole, and design of high saturation and high saturation color is presented for partial elements such as handles
