성경에서 치유를 통해 삶이 회복되는 것을 보게 된다. 예수는 치유 사역을 통해 하나님 나라를 이루셨다. 예수가 가져오신 하나님 나라는 인간성 회복의 완전한 모형이다. 그런 의미에서 치유는 하나님 나라를 통해 경험하는 생명 사상의 중요한 길이다. 치유는 파괴된 인간성을 회복하는 과제를 가지고 있다. 이런 의미에서 치유는 생명 신학을 바르게 이해하기 위한 필연의 과제이다. ‘치유와 생명’을 이해하기 위해서 ‘치유’의 성경적인 정의(定義)뿐만 아니라 일반적인 ‘치유’ 이해도 필요하다. 치유는 “타자에 의해 손상된 관계를 회복하는 정신적 영역의 활동”을 포함하고 있기 때문에 치유는 타자(他者)와 어떤 관계를 가지는 것과도 관련되어 있다. 상실한 마음자리에 찾아오셔서 싸매어 주시고 고치시며, 위로하시고 이끄시는 하나님의 치유의 손길은 치유가 절실한 자들에게 구원의 빛이다. 예수는 치유 사역을 통해 귀신을 쫓아내고 능력을 행사함으로 그치는 것이 아니라, 병으로 짓눌려 어둠 속에서 살아가는 사람들을 새롭게 회복하셨다. 마가에서 치유 사역은 예수의 말씀 선포와 함께 이루어졌다(막 1:23-26). 예수는 ‘목자 없는 양같이 방황하는 사람들을 불쌍히’(참조. 마 9:36; 막 6:34) 보시고 그들의 죄를 용서하시고 그들에게 치유를 베푸셨다. 치유는 죽은 자가 다시 살아나는 것과 같은 기적 사건처럼 예수를 통해 성취되는 하나님 나라의 실현으로 믿음을 인정하고 받아들일 때 경험하게 된다. 치유 사역을 통해 새롭게 예수는 생명을 회복하셨다. 예수는 생명 자체(참조. 요 6:35, 53; 8:12; 11:25; 14:6)이기 때문에, 그리스도와 연결된 인생을 사는 자는 생명 안에 있다. 그런 점에서 치유는 그리스도의 종말론적인 사역으로 미래적인 구원 사건을 ‘지금 여기에서’ 경험하는 것이다.

Healing in the Bible appears to be an important way for recovery of human nature. Jesus accomplished the kingdom of God on this earth through the healing ministry. The kingdom of God that Jesus has brought down is a complete model of recovery of human nature. In that sense, the healing is an important way to experience perception of life through the kingdom of God. Healing is to heal destroyed humanity. Its inevitable task is to properly understand the theology of life. Healing is referred to following words in the Bible: א󰔴󰕌, θϵρ⍺πϵί⍺, θϵρ⍺πϵύ⍵, ἴ⍺μ⍺, ἰάομ⍺ι, ἴ⍺σις. In order to understand healing and life, both the biblical definition and general common understanding of the word are required. Healing is related to its relationship with the Others. God’s healing touch is the light of salvation for those who are committed as His touches can be felt through His presence to those with broken hearts by curing and comforting. The healing ministry of Jesus not only casts out demons and exercises power, it also provides recovery to those lived in the darkness of sickness. Many Jesus’ healing ministry incidences in the book of Mark have prevailed in the presence Jesus’ Words (Mk 1:23-26). The healing ministry of Jesus is compassionate to a Lamb without shepherd wandering haplessly (cf. Mt 9:36; Mk 6:34) and is forgiving to sinners (cf. 1 Tm 1:15). Acknowledging and accepting it are referred to as the area of belief. The healing ministry of Jesus rose again from the dead, as is the case of Jesus as a miracle achieved through the realization of the kingdom of God. The healing ministry of Jesus shows realization of the kingdom of God through the miracles demonstrated by Jesus like in the case of raising a person from dead. Healing has no meaning without Christ’s presence. Jesus is life itself (cf. Jn 6:35, 53; 8:12; 11:25; 14:6), so the life associated with Christ is in the life within life.
