실존 망각과 존재 상실을 앞서 목격한 키에르케고르와 하이데거는 ‘실존’의 문제가 철학함의 가장 화급한(not-wendig) 문제라는 데 인식을 같이한다. 실존이란 인간만의 고유한 존재방식이다. 그들은 공히 소유와 향락으로 내모는 세상에서 우리는 대개 감각적 실존에 매몰되어 있음을 경고하면서 참다운 실존을 묻는다. 이 물음을 통해 ‘나의 마음’ 혹은 ‘자기 존재’가 속하여야 할 근원 및 그것이 깃들어야 할 처소를 찾고자 한다. 이러한 시도는 일상에서의 평균적 ‘생존’으로부터 고유한 ‘실존’에로의 길의 모색이다. 키에르케고르와 하이데거의 철학의 초점을 이루며 모든 이론적 연관의 중추적 역할을 하는 것이 실존개념이다. 본고에서는 실존개념을 중심으로 키에르케고르와 하이데거를 비교해보고자 한다. 양자는 시대정신과의 불화 속에서 군중의 일원으로 전락한 개인의 실존 망각과 ‘세상 사람’(das Man)으로 퇴락한 개인의 존재 상실을 사유의 과제로 삼는다. 이것은 학문의 고향을 잃고서 사변적인 관념론 철학과 인식론 중심의 주관주의 철학, 생철학 및 실증주의로 치달은 당대의 주류 철학에 대한 사상적 저항과 봉기를 의미한다. 여기서는 1. 시대정신과의 불화: 영혼에 대한 염려, 2. 키에르케고르가 하이데거에 미친 영향 3. 키에르케고르와 하이데거: ‘실존이해’의 차이, 4, 키에르케고르와 하이데거에 있어서 실존개념은 양립 가능한지를 살펴보고자 한다.

Kierkegaard and Heidegger, who witnessed the loss of existence and existence earlier, share the view that the issue of "existence" is the most urgent issue of philosophy. Existence is a unique way of being. They ask for the true existence of human being, warning that it is buried in sensual existence in a world that is driven by possession and pleasure. Through this question, we want to find ‘our heart’ or the source of ‘our real existence’ and the place where it should reside. These attempts are the search for a path from the average 'survival' to the unique 'real' in everyday life. The existential concept is to focus on the philosophy of Kierkegaard and Heidegger and to play the central role of all theoretical connections. We want to compare Kierkegaard and Heidegger with the concept of existence. Both make it their private tasks to forget about the existence of individuals who have become members of the crowd amid a discord with the spirit of the times and the existence of individuals who have degenerated into "das Man." This means the ideological resistance and uprisings of the mainstream philosophy of the day, which have lost its academic hometown and has been developed into subjectivism philosophy, philosophy of life and positivism centered on ideology and epistemology.
