이미 시작되었지만 아직 완성되지 않은 메시아적 공동체가 ACTS임을 고백할 때 ACTS인들은 메시아적 공동체의 일원으로 지역사회와의 관계를 조명하고, 지역사회에 어떻게 기여하고 함께 나아가야 할 것인가에 대한 대안을 찾고자 하는 것이 본 논문의 주제이다. 이를 위해 선교적 교회로서 ACTS의 정체성에 대한 논의를 바탕으로 지난 8년 동안 지역사회를 위해 수행했던 대표적인 복지프로그램인 건강가정·다문화가족지원센터 법인운영의 성과를 살펴보았다. 또한, 본교가 위치한 양평군의 인구통계학적 특성을 살펴본 후, 이러한 지역적 특성과 성서적 당위성에 근거하여, 앞으로 지역사회에 본교가 어떤 역할을 해야 할 것인지에 대한 제언을 하였다. 구체적으로 ACTS가 함께 해야 할 양평군의 지극히 작은 자들로 노인계층, 장애인계층, 그리고 다문화가정(특히 이주여성과 그들의 자녀인 다문화청소년들)으로 분류하고 각각의 대상 집단에 대한 섬김의 성서적 근거와 함께 구체적 프로그램에 대한 제언을 하였다.
ACTS가 섬겨야 할 지역사회의 작은 자들인 노인, 장애인, 이주민들은 약자들이며, 특히 한국 사회에서 그 사회적 지위가 취약한 계층이다. 새로운 시대를 대비하며, 다가올 세대와 더불어 교회의 사역을 감당한다는 것은 참으로 많은 도전과 장애, 그리고 투쟁으로 점철될 것이 자명하다. 하지만, 예수그리스도의 교회는 세상이 기다려온, 그리고 지금도 기다리고 있는 희망과 생명의 메시지를 갖고 있다. 우리는 예배와 찬양과 훈련을 위해 함께 모이기에 계속 힘써야 할 것이다. 하지만 어떤 희생을 감수해서라도 교회가 세상으로 흩어져 나아가도록 스스로를 헌신할 수 있어야 한다. 오직 그러할 때 세상은 우리를 통해 예수님을 만나게 되고, 그 사랑의 힘을 느낄 수 있을 것이기 때문이다.
When confessing that the Messianic community that has already begun but not yet completed is ACTS, the ACTS people, as members of the Messianic community, want to illuminate their relationships with the community and find alternative ways to contribute to the community and move together. To this end, this paper looks at the results of the corporate operation of the Healthy Family and Multicultural Family Support Center, a representative welfare program that has been conducted in the community for the past eight years. This is based on discussion concerning the identity of ACTS as a missionary church. This paper examines the demographic characteristics of Yangpyeong-gun where our school is located, It suggests the school should play social service role in the community based on regional characteristics and biblical justifications. The smallest groups ACTS should serve are classified as the elderly, the disabled, and multicultural families (especially migrant women, their children, and multicultural youths). These people are weak and their social status is vulnerable in Korean society. In addition, suggestions were made for the program.
To prepare for a new era, and to take up the ministry of the church with the coming generations, it is obvious that it will be marked by many challenges, obstacles, and struggles. However, the church of Jesus Christ has a message of hope and life that the world has been waiting for and still waiting for. We should continue to work together for worship, praise, and training. But at any cost, they should be able to devote themselves to the scattering of the church into the world. Only then will the world meet Jesus through us and feel the power of that love.
