본 연구의 목적은 이상(李箱)의 시 「오감도 시제1호」에서 ‘오감도(烏瞰圖)’와 ‘13’의 의미를 재고하여 도가적 사유와의 연관성을 고찰하는 것이다. 「오감도 시제1호」는 이상의 작품 세계를 집약적으로 보여주고 있다는 점에서 이상 문학을 이해하는 열쇠가 된다. 이를 위해 본고에서는 상호텍스트적 방법을 적용하여, 「오감도 시제1호」와 이상의 다른 작품들의 비교를 통해 그 의미를 새롭게 조명하였다. 또한 거기서 도출된 의미가 도가적 사유체계와 접맥되어 있음을 밝혔다. 연구 결과, 시제 ‘오감도’에서 ‘오감(烏瞰)’은 인간의 고정된 시각에서 벗어나 모든 시선을 아우를 수 있는, 전체를 조망하는 시선으로 이해하였다. 이것은 도가의 ‘도추(道樞)’ 혹은 ‘이명(以明)’과 다름 아님을 밝혔다. 또한 ‘13’은 단순한 수적 개념보다는 시간 의식을 내포한 것으로, 도가의 순환반복하는 시간관과 맥을 같이 함을 살펴보았다. 그리하여 ‘13인의 아해’는 죽음을 극복하기 위해 유한한 공간 속에서 무한한 자유와 평온을 얻고자 하는 존재로 이해하였다. 본 논문에서 도출된 결과들은 서구 이론에 경도되어 있는 이상 연구에 새로운 방법론의 가능성이 되리라 기대한다.

This study is to reconsider a meaning of ‘Ogamdo’ and ‘13’ in Yi Sang’s poem Ogamdo Nr. 1 and examine a correlation between the meaning of them and Taoist Thought. Ogamdo Nr. 1 is a main key to understand Yi Sang’s literature in terms of showing intensively Yi Sang’s works. To explore these issues, applying an inter-textual method in this paper, I shed new light on the meaning through comparing Ogamdo Nr. 1 and Yi Sang’s other works. Moreover, the meaning from the outcome clarified to be connected to Taoist Thought. As a result, I understood that crow-eye views (Ogam) in Ogamdo was a sight to put together entire views escaping from humankind’s fixed perspective. I clarified this was similar to a relative True and False of things or Clear Mind in Taoism. In addition, I examined that ‘13’ was in line with a viewpoint of time of circulating and repeating in Taoism including temporalities rather than simple numerical concepts. Therefore, I understood that ‘13 children’ were existence to obtain infinite freedom and peace in a finite space to overcome the death. I hope that results in this paper will shows possibilities of new methods with regard to researches of Yi Sang which have been examined by Western theories.
