본 연구는 저소득층 후기 청소년을 대상으로 진로설계 경험을 심층적으로 이해하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 지역사회복지관 및 지역아동센터 등을 통하여 10명의 후기 청소년에게 자신의 진로설계 경험을 인터뷰 방식으로 조사하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 연구의 참여자들은 부모나 가족의 지원이 부족한 상황에서 정서적 및 물질적 지원의 부족과 정보의 부족을 느끼며 어려움을 경험하였지만, 본인 스스로의 노력과 사회적 지원을 통해 진로와 미래를 설계하며 주체적으로 본인의 상황을 극복하고자 하였다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 저소득층 후기 청소년들을 대상으로 진로설계 경험에 관한 국내연구가 부족한 상태에서 저소득층 후기 청소년들의 건강한 성인기 이행을 위하여 이들의 진로에 관한 관심 제고와 개별화된 맞춤형 지원의 활성화를 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study was to understand in depth the career planning experience of the post-adolescent in low-income families. For this reason, the experience of career design was investigated and analyzed by interviewing 10 post-adolescents introduced from community welfare centers and community child centers. The participants in the study experienced difficulties due to a lack of emotional and material support and lack of information in the context of a lack of support from their parents or family. However, through their own efforts and social support from the community, they tried to plan and develop their career paths and overcome their own situation on their own. The results of this study suggested increasing interest in their career path and activating personalized support for their healthy transition to adulthood in absence of domestic research on the experience of career design for the post-adolescent in low-income families.
