본고는 분단 이후 북한의 한문학 연구 경향을 2000년대의 성과를 중심으로 검토하였다. 북한의 연구를 평가하기보다는 북한 연구의 실제를 충실하게 정리하는 데 주력하였으며, 정리 과정을 통해 남한의 한문학계가 새롭게 주목할 연구 자료나 참고할 연구시각 등을 찾아보았다. 북한의 연구물은 통일부 북한자료센터에서 찾았으며, 단행본과 논문으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 2000년대 북한의 연구는 사회주의 사상과 주체사상을 기본 시각으로 삼아 획일적인 연구를 고수하고 있었다. 반침략 애국주의를 반영한 시문을 집중적으로 조명하였으며, 우리 민족에 대한 긍지와 자부심을 고취하는 시문을 발굴하고 소개하는 데 주력하고 있었다. 우리 학계가 생각해보아야 할 점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, ‘당대 사회의 역사적 발전에 복무해야 한다’는 북한의 연구 시각을 재고할 필요가 있다. 현재 남한의 학계가 우리 사회의 현실 문제를 생각하며 연구를 하고 있는지 자문하게 된다. 우리 또한 학문 중심주의나 전문 연구자의 자기만족에서 벗어나, 연구 결과를 대중에게 확산시켜 나갈 필요가 있다. 둘째, 우리도 비문, 격문, 장계 등과 같은 연구대상을 주목할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 북한 지역의 문화유산을 정리한 성과를 적극적으로 수용할 필요가 있다. 넷째, 우리는 북한이 새롭게 찾아낸 문헌이나 작가에 관심을 가져야 한다. 현적복의 『현은산일기』 등이 대표적인 예이다.

This paper is aim to investigate North Korean research trends in Sino-Korean literature since the 2000s. I focused on faithfully organizing and introducing North Korean researches, excluding subjective evaluations, and I tried to look at new research materials and research points to be considered. I looked up North Korean researches at the Unification Ministry's North Korea Data Center and I sorted them out by book and paper. The research trends since the 2000s were sticking to standardized research, using socialist and Juche ideology. They were concentrated on literary works reflecting anti-invasion. They were also focused on discovering and introducing literary works that promote the pride of our people. Through the major researches made in North Korea, we should think about: First, it needs to reconsider the North Korean research view that it should serve the historical development of the contemporary society. Currently, we ask ourselves if the academic community of South Korea is doing research thinking about the reality of our society. We also need to break away from academicism and the self-satisfaction of professional researchers, and spread the research results to the public. Second, we also need to pay attention to new research objects such as inscription on stone monuments. Third, we need to actively accept the achievements of organizing cultural heritage in the North Korean region. Fourth, we should pay attention to the literature or the writers that North Korean researchers have newly found. Hyun Jeokbok's "Hyeoneunsan Diary" is a prime example.
