The purpose of this study was to investigate leisure satisfaction, leisure attitude and Mental Health State of Female College Students. The subjects were 270 female students at a women’s college.
The SCL-47-R, Leisure Satisfaction Scale(LSS) and Leisure Attitude Scale(LAS) were used for examination. The collected data were analyzed using the Independent Samples T-Test, which is on SPSS-WIN 10.0 program.
The major findings of this study were as follows:
1. The group of higher Mental Health State showed significant increase in Leisure Satisfaction level than lower group(p.<.05). There were also significant increased in three of the six sub-factors of Leisure Satisfaction Scale(LSS): Psychological Satisfaction(p<.05), Educational Satisfaction(p<.05) and Environmental Satisfaction(p<.05).
2. The group of higher Leisure Satisfaction showed significant increase in Mental Health State than lower group(p.<.01). There were also significant increased in six of the nine sub-factors of Mental Health State: Obsessive-Compulsive reaction(p<.05), Anxiety(p<.05), Interpersonal Sensitivity(p<.001), Depression(p<.001) Hostility(p<.01) and Psychoticism(p<.001).
3. The group of higher Leisure Attitude showed affirmative result in Mental Health State than lower group but was not appeared significant difference.
