본 연구는 도시 주부의 생활체육 참여동기와 여가·가사·가족의 만족도를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 서울시와 경기도 지역에 거주하고 있는 도시 주부 345명을 조사대상으로 표집하였다. 설문지는 이건숙(1982), 고동완(1994), 이종길(1992), 김경식(1996), 김용규·문용(2000), Beard와 Ragheb(1980), Higgins 외(1991) 등의 연구에서 사용한 설문 내용을 기초로 연구의 목적에 적합하도록 작성하였으며, 예비조사를 통하여 타당도 및 신뢰도를 검증한 후 사용하였다. 설문지의 신뢰도는 Cronbach`s α=.8945∼.9417로 대체로 높게 나타났으며, 자료분석을 위하여 중분류 분석(MCA)과 공변량 분석(ANCOVA)을 이용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구를 분석한 결과, 도시 주부의 생활체육 참여동기 요인 중 인간관계 및 친목도모가 여가만족과 가족만족에 가장 높게 나타났으며, 가사만족에는 기분전환 및 스트레스 해소가 가장 높게 나타났다. 그러나 통계적인 유의성은 보이지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 앞으로의 후속 연구에서는 생활체육 참여동기를 단일 문항이 아닌 다차원적 하위개념으로 구성하여 만족감과의 관계를 규명하여야 할 것이다.

The principal purpose of this study is to analyze closely the relationship between participation motivation of sport for all and satisfaction of leisure·family job·family among urban housewives. For this purpose the research was administered to using materials of 345 urban housewives participating of sport for all in Seoul and Kyunggi area in 2000. Data were collected through samples by means of cluster random sampling method. The questionnaire for data collection of this study was based on those used in previous studies among participation motivation, satisfaction of leisure, satisfaction of family job, and satisfaction of family scales, and used them after examing the verification of validity and reliability through pilot test. The methods of Statistics used to analyze the collected datas were multiple classification of analysis(MCA) and covariances of analysis(ANCOVA). Based on the procedures and results of the study, the following conclusions were warranted: First, There is no difference from the relationship between participation motivation of sport for all and satisfaction of leisure among urban housewives. Second, There is no difference from the relationship between participation motivation of sport for all and satisfaction of family job among urban housewives. Third, There is no difference from the relationship between participation motivation of sport for all and satisfaction of family among urban housewives.
