Objective: To show successful result between Jeremiah’s Hope Korea and Korean Diabetes Association with Preah Kossamak Hospital after the Cambodia-Korea Diabetic Center have been in public service for 2 years since the inauguration ceremony in the 30th of July, 2015. Methods: Beneficial result from the Twinning Project consists of 2 main categories: from doctors and from patients’ point of view. And in the patients’ side, it is divided into patients who have been diagnosed with diabetes and patients who have not diagnosed yet. Results: First, before having the center, patients do not know where to go for the treatment and follow up when being diagnosed with diabetes. Usually, they go abroad (neighbor countries) for high-income patients. Yet since after the center is in service, patients come to the center for treatment and follow up. Secondly, patients who have not been diagnosed heard about the center when they go to party or wedding reception. Mostly they talk about the diabetes center in Preah Kossamak Hospital, and patients who go for the treatment start being careful about diet and soft drink consumption. Moreover, when these 2 types of patients have major complications, they will be admitted to the center because now we have a place for patients to stay. Therefore, patients have good control of glycaemia, get educated from nurses and doctors, have more knowledge on taken care of themselves, especially major complications which can be caused by diabetes: diabetic nephropathy, retinopathy, and foot ulcer. For healthcare professionals, there are CME almost every weekend, better room to consult, patients’ reception area, and education session. Knowledge is increasing noticeably because of the new center. Conclusion: The center is the place for education, treatment, training for doctors and students, study and research. Hopefully, the future collaboration with KDA will enable the center to be high standard.
