이 글은 실제 다양한 방언 자료를 검토하면서 음소들의 대립 여부를 정도성에 의한 대립으로 볼 가능성이 있음을 논의하는 것이 목적이다. 음소의 대립 관계에 대해 방언 자료를 검토해 보면 단순히 유무 대립만 존재하는 것이 아니라 정도성에 의한 대립도 존재함을 알 수 있다. 정도성에 의한 음소 대립은 다시 음운론적인 환경에 의한 대립, 발화 상황에 의한 대립, 그리고 어휘 확산에 의한 대립으로 나뉘는데, 방언 자료의 구체적인 예를 통해 정도성에 의한 대립 여부를 살펴보았다.
The purpose of this thesis is to explore gradual opposition on phoneme in Korean regional dialects. There is not only privative opposition but also gradual opposition in Korean. This study especially emphasized the importance of gradual opposition through dialect data. In Korea, Gradual opposition on phoneme is classified by phonological environment, utterance situation, lexical diffusion.
