『그 후(それから)』에 나타난 다이스케(代助)의 내적불안 고찰

Soseki Natsume(1867-1916)'s biography in three parts 『Sansiro』『After that』 『Door』 had been serialized on 「Asahi daily news」 side by side for three years during 1908 to 1910, each character thereof had common connectivity. Because the background of the works described anxious psychology of the characters who were in the situation of disordered latter part of Meiji just after Russo-Japanese Wars. 『After that』 described the main character, Daisuke's anxiety, who lived as an educated idlerein Meiji era after Russo-Japanese Wars, as the figure of the nature such as flower, rain, wind, etc. symbolically. Lacans said, "Anxiety never deceives us”. Daisuke's life, who was the beneficiary of culture, showed aristocratic composure, however the reader can grasp in the space between the lines that his self who was anxious in the society of Meiji era, although he acted out gentility by himself. His anxiety is maximized in unconsciousness. Daisuke was an educated idler,who was free intellectual rake, however he was suppressed by his father who was grasped by the typical Meiji country view and money view, among such idleness, also, was suppressed by unreasonable society and desire for his friend's wife. The anxiety was colored in red, and described as flower scent or sensuous expressions about the nature in unconsciousness. This research investigated Daisuke's anxiety in『After that』, the symbol and reason thereof.
