本稿の目的は內村鑑三の戰爭觀の樣相を考察する中で、內村の義戰論から非戰論への思想的轉換に注目しつつ、その變遷と克服の過程を社會進化論との關係の中で考察することにある。 內村の‘有神論的な社會進化論’に對する理解とその限界によって形成された內村の‘パウロの信仰’は帝國的な社會進化論を相對化させながら‘十字架事件’が中心となる‘福音主義’を具體化させた。 このような意味で內村の『ロ一マ書の硏究』は‘パウロの信仰’が具體化された場所であり、今や,‘二つのJ’の裏に隱されている內村の模糊としたものがいくらか解消される‘日本的なキリスト敎’の案內書として位置づけられると思う。 そして明治維新の150周年(2018年)を切っ掛けとして‘明治の精神’の代表的な人物である內村を再照明することにより、日本社會の對內外的な危機を克服しようとする日本的な視角に新しい韓國的な視角を提示することができると思われる。

This paper aims to analyze Uchimura Kanzo’s shift in view towards the war: from pro-war discourse to anti-war discourse, while considering his process of ideological change and thus overcoming, in relation to Social Darwinism. Uchimura Kanzo intrinsically has a comprehensive understanding on ‘theistic Social Darwinism’, and ‘faith of St. Paul’ formed by that insight relativizes imperialistic Social Darwinism while shaping up Evangelism in which ‘the Cross affair’ holds the center place. In this sense, Study on Rome, one of his works, is the text that his ‘faith of St. Paul is concretely shaped and thus can be a strong guidebook for ‘Japanese Christianity’ which alleviates his ambiguity that lies behind ‘Two J: Japan and Jesus’. Throughout reviewing Uchimura Kanzo who represents the spirit of Meiji Restoration, in commemoration of150thanniversary of the restoration, it can make contribution to Japan’s attempt to overcome both interior and exterior national crisis, with a s upplement of new Korean insight.
