사이토료크우의 신문연재소설 “유미야가미”(메이지 27년)는 지금까지 연구　주제가 되지　않았습니다. 그러나“요미우리 신문”이 내놓은“역사소설 역사각본 현상 모집”과“도쿄아사히 신문”에 연재된 나가라이토스이 의“사요치도리”고 비교하여 당시의“역사소설”에 대한 안티테제를“유미야가미”가 포함된 것을　알수　있었습니다.“유미야가미”은 청일 전쟁 후 유행하는“비참소설”까지 이어질 가능성을 내포하고 있었다.
