This study is based on introspective criticism and skepticism such as "Who, when, and how was the results in change of cheering culture produced during the 2002 World Cup co-hosted by Korea and Japan? And despite the fact that sports in Korean society has come into power in general, what is the reason for immature valuation?". Therefore, this study regards the Red Devils as the main body of Korean Soccer cheering culture amplified through the 2002 World Cup co-hosted by Korea and Japan, and focuses the source of their actions from social movement perspective.
It can be confirmed that the development of the Red Devils started from a preliminary stage in 1983 when the professional soccer started; popular stage before and after the 1998 France World Cup; formal stage during 2002 World Cup co-hosted by Korea and Japan; institutional stage progressing after the 2002 Red Devil massive argument and has become a continuous social movement.
Through this progress, the Red Devils can be considered as a part of a social movement based on the fact that the Red Devils lead the creation and distribution of the new cheering culture from an individual dimension to a social dimension. In other words, the fact that the Red Devils created a new soccer cheering culture through agony, reflection, and introspection of Korean Soccer cheering culture, and that this progress was a part of identity development to get the cheering culture stabilized supports this study. The prospering changes in soccer cheering culture achieved by the Red Devils provides proper foundations to include the Red Devils development a part of social movement.
