여성의 구체적 범죄두려움에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴보고자 한다. 이에 2014년도 국민생활 안전실태조사의 원자료를 활용하여 여성 4,047명을 대상으로 개인과 지역수준으로 구분하는 다수준분석을 사용하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 개인요인에서는 노인여부, 배우자유무, 장애유무, 학력, 취약성 인식, 일상생활만족이 여성의 구체적 범죄피해 두려움에 영향을 미치는 것으로 검증되었다. 즉, 여성이 비노인이면서 배우자와 장애가 없고, 학력과 취약성 인식이 높을수록, 일상생활만족이 낮을수록 구체적 범죄두려움이 높았다. 둘째, 지역요인에서는 사회적 무질서, 비공식통제참여, 경찰활동이 여성의 구체적 범죄피해 두려움에 영향을 미치는 것으로 검증되었다. 즉, 여성은 사회적 무질서와 비공식통제참여가 증가할수록, 지역사회 경찰활동이 낮을수록 구체적 범죄두려움이 높았다. 본 연구는 여성의 구체적인 범죄피해 유형별로 영향 요인을 조사하지 못한 한계점이 있다. 향후 여성의 범죄피해 유형별로 두려움에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하여 여성의 삶의 질을 높일 수 있는 지역사회가 조성되도록 체계적인 연구가 뒷받침돼야 할 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the factors affecting the women’ specific fear of crime. Using the original data from the 2014 National Living Safety Survey, we used a multi level analysis of 4,047 women, divided into individual and regional levels. The results of the analysis were as follows. First, in the individual factors, it was verified that the elderly, spouse status, disability, education, vulnerability awareness, and daily life satisfaction affected women’s specific fear of crimes. Second, in local factors, social disorder, informal control participation, and police activities have been shown to affect women’s specific fear of crimes. In other words, women were more fearful of specific crimes as social disorder and informal control participation increased, and as community police activities were lower. This study has a limitation in that it does not investigate the influencing factors by the specific types of crimes of women. In the future, a systematic study should be supported to analyze the factors affecting fear by the types of crime victims of women and to create a community that can improve women’s quality of life.
