이 논문은 탈북학생 대상 문화예술 교육의 실태를 분석하고 효과적인 추진 방안 마련을 위한 시사점을 도출하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 탈북학생의 학교 및 사회 적응 지원을 목표로 실행되고 있는 교육부의 탈북학생 교육지원 사업에서 이뤄지고 있는 문화예술 관련 교육의 내용을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 탈북학생 문화예술 교육은 탈북학생의 심리 안정, 교우 관계 형성, 문화적 결핍 해소, 사회 문화적 이해 제고 등의 측면에서 중요한 역할을 하였다. 전반적으로 내용 측면에서 문화, 교양 관련 내용이 높은 비중으로 이뤄졌으나, 심리 정서 관련 내용은 제한적으로 다뤄졌다. 연구 결과, 탈북학생 문화예술 교육의 개선을 위해 탈북학생의 배경과 특성에 기반을 둔 프로그램 개발 및 실행, 다양한 배경의 대상자를 포괄하는 문화예술 교육의 실행, 학교 안팎을 연계한 프로그램의 실행 등이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

This study aims to examine the cultural artistic education for North Korean youth migrants and draw policy suggestions and implications to improve it. For this purpose, the study analyzes the cultural-artistic Education in the elementary and secondary schools for their benefit and betterment, which is to be implemented based on their educational support considering its detailed compositions and methods. The result of the study indicates that the education provides the developmental contents in its quantitative respect based on the cultural and liberal education. On the other hand, it shows that the contents are less supplied in terms of psychological and emotional aspects even though it’s very important. However, it points out that the Cultural-Artistic Education for North Korean Youth Migrant has to provide more substantial ideas focusing on the psychological and emotional aspects in relation to its general curriculum for the enhancement of progress and development.
