본 연구의 목적은 여자 대학생의 여가문화인식 대하여 심층적으로 연구 및 분석하는 것이다. 이러한 과정을 통하여 여자 대학생들이 여가를 이해하고 인식하는 독특한 특성을 분석하고 그들의 다양한 요구 및 필요에 부합하는 현실적이고 효과적인 여가문화를 제시할 수 있다. 본 연구의 참여자는 서울지역에 거주하는 여자 대학생 8명이며, 연구자료 수집방법은 심층면접과 문헌분석방법이다. 본 연구의 목적을 구현하기 위하여 다양한 선행연구들에 대한 분석을 시도하였다. 결과적으로 여자 대학생들이 인식하고 이해하는 여가의 개념은 구체적이고 체계적으로 형성되어 있다. 그리고 여성의 독특한 특성을 바탕으로 여자 대학생들만의 여가와 여가문화에 대한 이해와 인식을 구체화하고 있다. 그러나 한편으로는 일반적으로 한국사회에 만연해 있는 여가와 여가문화와 관련된 복잡하고 다양한 사회적 문제 역시 동시에 경험하고 인식하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 여자 대학생을 위한 보다 전문화되고 구체화된 여가문화를 위한 기초자료를 제시할 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the women collegiate students` perceptions on leisure and leisure culture. According to these process, it was possible to analyze the unique aspects of women collegiate students to understand leisure and leisure culture. It also was possible to suggest proper leisure culture for them. As a result, the women students generally have wide range of knowledge on leisure and leisure culture. They also conceptualized the unique aspects of leisure for women students. However, at the same time, women students had to overcome various negative issues on contemporary leisure cultures. Consequently, it was important to understand and perceived the unique aspects of the relationship between women students and their leisure culture in contemporary society. For doing so, it was possible to provide various and effective solutions to promote the status of women students` leisure culture in contemporary society.
