본 연구에서는 LPGA 선수들의 효율적인 스폰서십 결정을 위한 경기력 요인을 분석하고 한국과 외국선수 간의 차이를 비교하였다. 이를 위해 2004년부터 2008년까지 총 790명의 LPGA 선수들의 성적자료를 분석에 활용하였으며, LPGA(2009a)와 USGA(2007)가 제시한 주요 경기력 요인을 기준으로 평균퍼팅, 그린적중률, 그린적중률 당 퍼팅 수, 드라이버 비거리 및 정확도를 변인으로 설정하였다. 자료처리는 SPSS 14.0을 이용, 기술분석, 독립 t-test, 단계적 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 이상의 절차를 거쳐 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 2004년부터 지난 5년 간 LPGA 선수들의 시즌성적에 가장 큰 영향을 미친 경기력 요인은 그린적중률 당 퍼팅 수가 가장 큰 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났으며, 그 다음은 그린적중률, 평균퍼팅 수가 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 한국선수들은 그린적중률이 가장 큰 영향을 미쳤으며, 외국선수들은 그린적중률 당 퍼팅 수가 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 결과와 방법을 토대로 선수들의 경기력을 판단해봄으로써 기업이 선수를 후원하고자 할 때 선수들의 가능성을 판단하고 후원조건 등을 결정할 필요가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze performance factors for effective sponsorship determination of LPGA players. For this study, The data were used 790 LPGA player's stats during 5 years(2004~2008), and 6 variables were taken based on LPGA(2009a) and USGA(2007) were suggested. Dependent variable was prize money earning and independent variables were avg. putts, greens in regulation, putts per GIR, driving distance and driving accuracy. Descriptive analysis, independent t-test and stepwise multiple regression were conducted using SPSS win 14.0. Result indicated that the most influenced performance factor to season performance results was putts per GIR, then second influenced factor was green in regulation, and the third factor was avg. putts. In case of Korean players, green in regulation was influenced mostly. Also in case of foreign players, putt per GIR was most influenced to season performance results. Finally, when the company wants sponsorship agreement with players, need to decide agreement conditions through forecast potentialities of player's based on these results and approaching methods.
