본 연구는 월드컵 축구대회에서 나타난 4-4-2 포메이션의 전술의 특성 연구로, 독일월드컵 16강에 진출한 16개 팀의 15경기에 대한 비디오 분석을 통한 변인 분석연구를 채택하였다. 포메이션에 따른 하프라인을 넘어 상대진영에서 득점소요시간, 득점지역, 공격방향, 득점방법, 볼터치횟수 등을 분석하였다. 포메이션에 따른 득점차이는 크지 않으나, 득점방법에 있어서 4-4-2포메이션의 경우 필드골에서 득점확률이 높은 반면에, 기타 포메이션의 경우 프리킥, 코너킥에서 높았다. 공격방향에 있어서는 4-4-2의 경우 중앙과 좌우에, 기타의 경우에는 오른쪽에 치우치는 결과를 보였다. 패스 횟수의 차이는 큰 차이가 없었다. 4-4-2포메이션을 주요 전술로 활용한 팀은 55%로서 세계축구의 주 포메이션으로 활용되고 있는 추세다. 이는 앞으로 한국축구가 관심을 가져야 할 분야이기도 하다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the tactical characteristics of the 4-4-2 formation in the world cup soccer game. we analyze the scoring time, scoring place, direction of attack, the way to score and the times of touch balls score. we couldn't find the distinctive difference in the score, but the way for score is a little bit different. For 4-4-2 formation, it is much profitable in field goal. while the other formations are in free kick and coner kick. In the direction of attack, 4-4-2- formation is inclined to the central and right-left side, while the other formation are to the right side, There isn't big difference in the pass opportunity. The 55% of the teams are use the 4-4-2 formation in the game. It became the new trend in the world soccer games. This will be the new insight for the Korea soccer teams.
