최근의 ‘페미니즘 리부트’ 이후, 문단은 물론 학계에서 ‘여성주의 시각’에 의한 문학사의 해체와 재구축의 작업이 진행되는 사정을 확인하며, 이 글은 1980년대에 씌어진 김혜순의 시를 ‘여성주의의 시각’에서 적극적으로 재평가하는 작업을 수행하였다. 김혜순의 시에 대해서는 그간 여성주의적 시각으로만 한정해 읽을 수 없다는 관점이 일반적이었던바, 이러한 태도가 결국 여성주의적 시각의 독해를 배제하는 결과를 불러온 것은 아닌지 반성할 필요가 있다. 이는 황인숙과 허수경으로부터 김행숙과 진은영에 이르기까지, 1990년대와 2000년대의 주요한 여성시인들이 ‘과소여성화’의 관점에서 읽혀온 사실과 무관하지 않다. 1980년대의 김헤순의 시를 재독하며 이 글이 설정한 목표는 두 가지이다. 첫째, 여성적 정체성을 삭제하는 방식으로 김혜순의 시를 읽어온 비평적 시선들을 비판적으로 성찰하려는 것이며, 둘째, 김혜순의 여성적 글쓰기의 의미를 당대의 ‘여성적 체험’과 결부시켜 읽어보려는 것이다. 1980년대 비평장에서 김혜순의 시가 소개되는 방식은 굉장히 제한적이었는바, 그녀 시에 분명히 재현되고 있는 폭력의 피해자로서 여성의 체험은 대부분 삭제된 채로 읽히고, 여성이라는 시인의 성별은 주로 시의 미학적 결함을 지적하기 위해 부정적인 방식으로만 참조된다는 점을 이 글은 확인하였다. 이러한 기존의 평을 극복하기 위해 이 글은 김혜순의 시에 가시화되고 있는 ‘젠더폭력’의 양상들을, 당대의 여성적 현실과 당대의 여성문학 논의에 비추어 추출하고, 나아가 김혜순의 시가 이러한 ‘젠더폭력’에 맞서 어떠한 저항적 발화를 고안해내었는지를 의미화하고자 하였다.

Recently, the work of dismantling and reconstructing Korean literary history by ‘feminist perspective’ has begun actively. In confirming this situation, this article actively re-evaluated Kim Hye-soon’s poem written in the 1980s from the perspective of feminism. Kim Hye-soon’s poems have been evaluated as being limited to ‘feminist perspective’. As a result, the reading of the feminist view on Kim Hye-soon was not sufficient. This is irrelevant to the fact that the major female poets of the 1990s and 2000s were read in terms of ‘under-feminization’. Rereading the poems of Kim Hee-soon in the 1980s, this paper sets two goals. First, it is to critically reflect the critical perspectives that read Kim Hye-soon’s poems by deleting feminine identity. Second, I try to read Kim Hye-soon’s meaning of feminine writing in connection with the contemporary ‘female experience’. The way the female poet named Kim Hye-soon was introduced in the 1980s criticism was very limited. The woman’s experience as a victim of violence, which is clearly reproduced in her poems, is mostly read as deleted, and the gender of the woman’s poet was referred to in a negative way only primarily to point out the aesthetic deficiencies of the poem. This article confirms these facts. Furthermore, this article attempts to extract aspects of gender violence that is visualized by Kim Hye-soon’s poems, and further to imply what kind of resistive speeches Kim Hye-soon’s poems devised in response to these gender violence.
