본 연구는 유아의 피아노 교육에서 학부모 연계를 위한 방안으로서 가정에서 학부모가 함께 참여할 수 있는 구체적 활동들을 제시하고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이것을 통하여 그동안 소홀히 되었던 학부모 참여를 유발하여 교사와 학부모 각각의 역할이 서로 조화를 이루는 보다 효과적인 피아노 교육의 방향을 제시하고자 하는데 그 취지가 있다. 유아의 학습에 있어 학부모 참여의 효과와 중요성은 그동안 수많은 연구에서 다루어져왔다. 그러나 유아의 피아노 교육에 있어 학부모 참여의 구체적 활동이나 교육 프로그램 등을 다룬 연구는 미흡하다. 본 연구는 이러한 점에 착안하여 가정에서 학부모가 쉽게 아이의 피아노 교육에 참여할 수 있는 구체적 활동들을 모색해보았다. 이를 위하여 유아용 학습지들에서 제시한 학부모 참여 활동과 내용들을 분석하였고 이 가운데 피아노 교육에의 응용 가능성을 살펴보았다. 또한 시중에 출판된 유아용 피아노 교재 속의 학부모 참여 영역과 내용을 분석하여 미흡한 부분과 보완책을 모색하였다. 그 결과 학부모 참여 활동으로서 이야기 나누기, 읽기활동, 듀엣의 활용 등 9가지 활동을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 유아의 피아노 교육에 있어 학부모 참여의 구체적 활동들을 제시하여 그동안 소홀히 되었던 가정에서의 학부모 연계의 가능성과 방안을 보여주었다.
The purpose of the study is to suggest specific activities that parents can do together in young children’s piano study at home. Through this, the study will promote parental involvement in their children’s piano study and seek for the direction of piano education in more effective ways. Many research has proved the effectiveness and importance of parental involvement in early music education. However, it is difficult to find any studies or programs which deal with specific activities about how parents can work together for their children’s piano study. For this reason, this study explored practical activities for parents to do together in their children’s piano study at home. The study searched for the guidelines for parents by analyzing study books and materials for young children. It also analyzed contents and activities that some of piano books suggested. Through this, it analyzed insufficient parts in the parental participation of piano books and explored the supplemental ways. As a result, the study provided nine kinds of activities including expressing thoughts and feelings of parents, questioning, and other related activities that parents can work together in their children’s piano study. The study can be valued in that it provided specific activities that parents can do together in their children’ piano study and showed the possibility of parental involvement in piano education.
