The paper aim to give focus on understanding the leisure constrains negotiation process of international students at Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea. There is strong believes that there are other elements that contribute in either maximize or minimize leisure participation within individuals, so not only they might be affected by their own believes and personal traits but also its differ from how do they conceptualize leisure, such as: the positive aspect, self-actualization, and high self-esteem. Phenomenological investigation has been used and data analysis done through (Nvivo) software program package, and as a result the conclusions are: First, as assumed foreign has two ways of construe leisure, which is: Alternative Leisure (AL) and Original Leisure (OL). Second, according to data analysis (AL) were mostly individual activities, while (OL) more into social activities for foreign students in South Korea. Third, as long as participants can achieve either (AL) or (OL) they consider as capable to induce positive psychology in which reflect on: a) their skill of how do they negotiate their constrains, b) and how do they construe their leisure activities within their unstructured environment. Forth, Constrains may work as vice versa tool (with positivity condition), in which individuals tend to either find solutions and return to (OL) constrains’ and negotiate it or having (AL) ways of doing their leisure. Lastly, individuals with low selfesteem, lack of actualization, and low positive psychology tend to have struggles with not only participating in leisure activities but also how do they conceptualize and understand leisure causing lacking of leisure skill or lacking of constrains’ negotiations skills.
