The purpose of this study was to analyze the safety consciousness of sports participants and to propose effective safety education methods. In order to accomplish the purpose of this study, we used the general characteristics, injury experience, and safety consciousness items of the sports safety accident survey data conducted by the Sports Safety Foundation in 2015 selectively. The concrete conclusions are as follows.
First, the awareness and importance of the safety rules of the sports participants are low, so it is necessary to improve the safety education system so that the safety education is compulsory. Second, the lack of professional safety education leads to a lack of awareness of safety accident prevention activities. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a plan for securing professionalism of safety education through systematic education contents. Third, in order to facilitate the collection of countermeasure information in the event of a safety accident, it is necessary to raise public awareness through construction of public relations system related to safety education service.
