본 연구는 한국어교육 현장에서 중급 학습자를 대상으로 연극을 활용한 효과적인 한국어 수업의 구성과 운영 방안을 제시하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 교육현장에서 연극의 효용성에 대해 교육연극의 개념과 특징을 살펴봄으로써 종합예술로서 연극이 한국어교육 현장에서 총체적 한국어 능력을 향상시키는 데에 효과적으로 활용될 수 있음을 밝히고 있다. 특히 교실 현장에서 연극이라는 종합적 과제를 수행하는 과정에서 학습자 간 상호 작용을 통해 한국어 숙달도가 향상될 수 있음을 논의하였다. 구체적으로 한국어 정규 교육 과정 내에서 어떻게 과제로서 연극을 활용한 수업을 운영할 수 있는지 각 차시별로 주요 내용을 제시하였다. 또한 과제수행 단계에 따라 각 차시가 어떻게 구성되어야 하는지를 살피고 각 차시에 진행에 있어 교사가 유의해야 할 점에 대해서 구체적으로 제시하여 교육 현장에 있는 교사들에게 연극을 활용한 한국어수업의 실제적 운영방안을 제시하였다.

This study aims to provide an effective way to organize and operate Korean classes for intermediate learners, using a play. Though taking a close look at its concept and characteristics in order to figure out its effectiveness on the educational scene, the play could be demonstrated to be useful in improving the overall Korean language ability. Specially, this study discussed the possibility of improving Korean language proficiency through interaction among learners while carrying out the comprehensive task of the play on the classroom site. In particular, the main contents of each lesson were presented in detail, including how to operate classes using the play as a task within a regular Korean curriculum. In addition, practical ways to utilize it in Korean classes were presented to teachers not only by demonstrating how each class is constructed according to each step of performing the play task, but by providing what teachers should keep in mind.
