본 연구는 기존 대시보드의 제한점과 한계를 극복하고 국내 대학에서 실제적이고 효과적으로 활용할 수 있는 학습분석(Learning Analytics) 기반의 교수자용 대시보드 개발을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 첫째, 문헌분석을 통해 교수학습에 필요한 정보의 선별 및 범주화, 온ㆍ오프라인 혼합 수업 환경에서 적절한 정보를 제공하기 위한 데이터 소스 수집과 가공 방법 선정, 둘째, 프로토타입 개발 및 사용성 평가, 셋째, 개발된 대시보드 어플리케이션의 LMS 통합 적용 및 2회에 걸친 교수자 심층면담을 통한 사용성 평가 및 의견 수렴하였다. 마지막으로 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 수업 단계에 따라 17개의 데이터 항목을 ‘수업 중’, ‘수업과정’의 2단계로 구분한 최종 대시보드를 개발하였다. 개발된 대시보드는 수강생 현황, 과거 학업이력, 교수자의 과거 강의 평가, 학생들의 학습현황에 대한 정보를 포함하고 차트 분석 결과를 기반으로 학생들에게 즉각적인 피드백(문자 전송, 모바일 메신저 메시지 전송)을 제공할 수 있으며 각 차트의 교수학습 활용방안을 함께 제시하였다는 특성이 있다. 이러한 대시보드 개발 및 결과를 바탕으로 교수자 대시보드 개발 및 적용에 참고할 수 있도록 데이터 수집, 활용 방안, 정보보안 및 기술적 이슈 등과 관련된 시사점을 제시하였다.

In this study, we have tried to design and develop dashboard based on learning analytics that is suitable for current higher education circumstances as overcoming the limitations of existing dashboard. For this purpose, first, we explored what kind of data analysis is helpful for teaching and learning through a literature review and made collecting, processing data methods to provide the proper information for blended(online and offline) classes. Second, we developed a prototype and evaluated the usability of it. Third, we improved dashboard based on development of prototypes and the focus group interview conducted by professors two times, gathering the opinion of professors about prototypes. Finally, we completed the final version of dashboard which shows seventeen charts categorized in two parts of ‘pre-class analysis’ and ‘course analysis’. Final version of dashboard includes various charts such as enrolled student information, student academic history, student learning status, professor evaluation and it provides instant feedback function through SMS or Mobile message and detailed description of charts. We explored implications of collecting data, information security, and some technical issues to apply to design and development of dashboard based on research results.
