본 논문은 헤겔의 자연철학이 그의 ‘철학적 학문체계’ 내에서 어떤 의미를 지니며 어떤 역할을 하는지를 ‘논리학’과의 연관 속에서 고찰한다. 이 고찰에 있어서 핵심이 되는 것은 ‘논리학’ 끝에서 서술되는 ‘이념의 자연으로의 외화’가 어떻게 이해되는가이다. 왜냐하면 헤겔에게 있어 자연이란 ‘외화된 이념’이므로 이 ‘외화’가 어떻게 해석되는가에 따라 그 이념을 고찰하는 자연철학 자체의 의미 및 ‘논리학’과의 관계 그리고 ‘체계’ 내에서의 역할이 달라질 수 있기 때문이다. 이런 까닭에 ‘논리학’과의 연관 속에서 자연철학이 갖는 의미와 역할을 고찰하려는 본 논문은 먼저 ‘이념의 자연으로의 외화’에 대한 주요한 해석에는 어떤 것이 있는지 그리고 그러한 해석이 갖는 문제점은 무엇인지를 설명한다. 물론 이때 ‘이념의 자연으로의 외화’에 대한 기존의 해석의 문제점이 밝혀진다고 해서 곧 바로 그것이 어떻게 해석되어야 하는지가 주어지는 것은 아니다. 그것에 대한 올바른 해석은 다시 ‘논리학’에 대한 올바른 이해가 전제되어야 한다. 이런 까닭에 본 논문은 ‘논리학’에 대한 올바른 이해가 무엇인지를 간략히 제시하면서 그러한 이해가 받아들여질 때, 이념의 외화가 어떻게 해석될 수 있는지를 제시하고, 그것을 토대로 ‘논리학’에 대한 자연철학의 관계와 ‘체계’ 내에서의 그 의미를 제시한다.

This study considers the meaning of Hegel's Philosophy of Nature within his "Philosophical Sciences' System" and its role in the relation to the Science of Logics. For this consideration, the understanding of 'Transition of Idea to Nature' which happens at the end of Science of Logics is greatly significant, because the way of interpretation on its transition decides the meaning and the role of Philosophy of Nature in relation to Science of Logics, as the ‘nature’ is the same as 'the transferred idea'. Thus, this study, which considers the meaning and the role of Philosophy of Nature in the relation to Science of Logics, begins with the explanation of several interpretations on the 'Transition of Idea to Nature' and the problems of each interpretation. However, the exposition of problems of each interpretation does not directly lead to the reasonable elucidation on the Transition of Idea, because it requires a correct understanding of Science of Logics for that reasonable elucidation. For this reason, this study argues the correct understanding of Science of Logics, the way of interpretation of Transition of Idea based on its understanding, and the meaning and the role of Philosophy of Nature in the relation to the Science of Logics.
