본 연구의 목적은 의료관광의 주요 선택속성을 규명하고, 의료관광객의 관광행동 특성에 따라 의료관광 만족에 미치는 영향의 차이가 존재하는지를 실증적으로 조사하고 관련 시사점을 도출하는 것이다. 이 연구를 위한 설문은 미국, 중국, 일본, 러시아 의료 관광객 대상으로 실시하였으며 총 369명의 관광객으로부터 조사 응답을 받아 자료 분석을 실시하였다. 이를 분석하기 위하여 SPSS 18.0 버전을 사용하였으며, 기술통계 분석, 요인분석, 그리고 위계적 회귀분석을 사용하였다. 연구 결과에 따르면 의료관광 선택속성의 하위 요인 중 의료서비스 품질, 관광자원, 문화자원 요인이 의료관광 만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 의료관광 방문객의 국적에 따라 의료관광 선택속성이 만족에 미치는 영향에 유의한 차이를 보였다. 그리고 마지막으로 의료관광객의 한국의 방문 유무에 따라 의료관광 선택 속성이 만족에 미치는 영향에 또한 유의한 차이를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구 결과는 학문적으로는 전반적인 의료관광의 학문 분야를 한 단계 발전시키는 계기가 될 것으로 사료된다. 명확한 의료관광의 정의와 구분에 대한 시도는 선행연구에 차별화된 연구의 시도로 연구자간의 의료관광에 대한 개념의 차이를 줄일 수 있는 계기가 되었다. 실무적인 의미로는 의료관광 실무자들은 어떠한 의료관광 선택속성에 대해 만족하는지 파악함으로서 의료관광객에게 다양한 의료서비스와 마케팅으로 다가갈 수 있는 기회가 될 수 있으며, 소비자는 자신이 원하는 의료관광 상품을 명확하게 선택할 수 있는 계기가 될 것으로 사료된다.

The paper investigates which selection attributes of health tourism are influencing satisfaction by health tourism behaviour characteristics. Sample used for the sake of the study are composed of Chinese, Japanese, Russian, American who have experienced health tourism between September 19, 2015 and October 1, 2015. The total size of the sample was 369 used and no missing value against the factors needed for final analysis as an effective sample. SPSS 18.0 version for window was used to analyze the collected data on which descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and hierarchical linear regression were carried out. Therefore, the empirical results of this study are as follows, three factors, namely quality of medical service, tourism resources, and culture resources in selection attributes of health tourism positively affect to satisfaction of health tourism. Second, traveler’ tourism behaviour characteristics (frequency of Korean health tourism, nationality) play moderating roles in the relationship between selection attributes of health tourism and satisfaction of health tourism. The results of this study has both academical and empirical implication. This paper develops general health tourism theory in terms of theoretical implication. A clear definition and classification of health tourism are relatively new attempt in the theory of health tourism that has never been researched before. Thus, this work would reduce the gap between researchers. Furthermore, it appears that exploring critical selection attributes of health tourism influencing satisfaction by health tourism types and tourism behaviour characteristics contribute significantly to the existing theory of health tourism.
