This study, which sought to identify traditionality shown in dance dramas made by accommodating traditional dance among China's dance culture as well as characteristics during their modernization, conducted analysis borrowing the concept of intertextuality. Of these, the analysis was done on contemporary accommodation of the peacock dance, one of China's splendid traditional dance - imitating the movement of birds. The peacock dance has been handed down as a folk dance of the Dai people and was reborn by Yang Liping's dance drama Peacock. Based on this relatedness, the study analyzed intertextuality and found following results.
