이 글은 청도군의 서부 풍각면과 동부 운문면의 ‘ㅂ, ㅅ, ㄷ’ 불규칙 어간 기저형의 지역적 차이와 변화 과정을 고찰하였다. ‘ㅂ’ 불규칙 어간은 두 지역에서 단일 기저형으로 존재하는 경우가 많았다. ‘가깝-’의 경우만 기저형의 차이가 존재한다. ‘ㅅ’ 불규칙 어간은 서부에서는 /Xㆆ-/으로 존재하고 동부에서는 /Xㅅ-/의 단일 기저형으로 존재한다. 다만, ‘잇-, 繼’의 경우, 서부에서는 /이꾸-/로, 동부에서는 /이수-/로 존재하는바, 이는 ‘잇-’이 ‘-고’와 결합한 ‘이꼬’를 재분석한 것으로 보았다. ‘ㄷ’ 불규칙은 두 지역에서 모두 복수기저형 /X{ㄷ-르}-/로 존재하였다. 다만, ‘깨닫-’의 경우 패러다임 간 유추로 인하여 서부에서 /께다리-/로, 동부에서 /께달리-/로 나타난다. 세 불규칙 어간 중에서 ‘ㅅ’ 불규칙 어간이 서부와 동부의 기저형 차이가 가장 크게 나타났다.

This paper aims to study underlying forms of the so-called p, s, t-irregular stems in the Cheongdo subdialect. There are differences between eastern and western areas in Cheongdo based on these irregular stems. In terms of irregular stems, the p-irregular stems exist in single underlying forms: /Xp-/ in both areas. However, s-irregular stems exist as the single underlying form /X?-/ in the western areas, and as the single underlying form /Xs-/ in the eastern areas. T-irregular stems mainly exist as the multiple underlying form, /X{t-li}-/, in both areas. Finally, the main differences in western and eastern areas are the underlying forms of s-irregular stems. For p-irregular, and t-irregular stems, there are no main differences between the two areas.
