본고는 他動詞文에 나타나는 ‘줄’ 構成의 通時的 變化 過程에서 고찰되어야 할 몇 가지 문제를 논의하였다. 우선 ‘줄’ 구성과 다른 구성들의 代替 樣相을 통시적으로 살펴보았다. 이를 토대로 ‘줄’ 구성은 기본적으로 名詞句 補文 構成이며, 동일한 맥락에서 通用될 수 있는 다른 명사구 보문 구성의 名詞句들이 보이는 다양한 意味를 包括할 수 있다고 보았다. 다만 冠形詞節 內에 疑問詞를 包含하였으면서도 그에 呼應하는 疑問 資質을 가지지 않는 ‘줄’ 구성의 예들에 대해서는 類似한 양상을 보이는 다른 명사구 보문 구성을 포함하여 좀 더 연구되어야 할 필요가 있음을 지적하였다. ‘줄’ 구성으로 표현되는 命題의 非事實的 解釋, 특히 反事實的 解釋의 문제는 ‘줄’ 구성 자체의 문제로만 바라보기보다는 近代國語 이후 [結果狀態-로] 論項이 확산되어 온 通時的 樣相과 ‘줄’ 구성이 認識·思惟動詞와 같은 특정 유형의 他動詞 構文으로 그 統辭的 分布가 制約되어 온 過程을 종합적으로 살펴야 함을 지적하였다.

The aim of this paper is to research diachronically on three main issues of Jul construction in transitive clause. Firstly, we investigated diachronically the replacement of Jul construction by other constructions. So we claimed that Jul construction is NP complement clause and Jul of this construction covers various meanings of the head noun of NP complement clause which is replaced by Jul construction. Secondly, Jul construction is basically NP complement clause. However the syntactic characteristics of this construction should be researched further on including other NP complement clauses because of examples which contain WH-word in [-WH] clause. Lastly, non-factive meaning of Jul construction is assumed to the semantic interaction between cognitive verb and interrogative embedded clause, not the spread of non-factive meaning of Jul-ro construction, namely Final State (FNS) argument combined with case marker -ro.
