The purpose of this study was to explore after school programs in Germany kindergarten based on a case study. It is to investigates background of educational purpose, management, educational content, educational method, daily schedule management and the role of teacher of kindergarten 0n the basis of the author’s experience during a research period in Germany. Data were collected from kindergarten observation, teachers’ interviews and daily record in after school program on three kindergarten in Germany.
Finding show that after school programs in Germany kindergarten had the purpose of education for personality development with helping the role of the home. The members are of mixed age groups from 3years old up to fourth grade elementary school and they had the projet activities on the subject found in their lives in the afternoon after school programs. The classes were composed of 15 people in mixed age group, a certified teacher, a assistant teacher, a long term trainees and volunteers who were former teachers responsible for learning and homework support.
