연구배경 본 연구는 패션 분야에 큰 영향을 미치고 있는 현대미술의 개념을 고찰하고, 패션이 예술에 영향을 미치는 필수불가결한 서로의 관계를 당대 예술작가의 미술사조에 나타난 작품과 현대 패션과의 관계를 통해 디자이너의 예술적 표현 특성을 연구하고자 한다. 연구방법 예술과 패션의 융합에 대한 선행 연구 논문과 국내·외 패션잡지, 전문서적, 인터넷과 사진자료 등을 참고하여 연구한다. 또한 이들 미술사조가 현대 패션 컬렉션에 미친 영향에 대해 연구한다. 연구결과 현대미술은 현대패션에 있어서 영감원이 되는 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다. 예술과 패션의 경계자체가 해체되고 있는 21세기를 살고 있는 지금 패션과 예술은 불가분의 관계를 맺고 있음을 알 수 있다. 또한 현대미술과 패션은 앞으로도 활발한 융합과 협업을 이루어낼 것이다. 결론 예술가들이 시대의 문화 및 정신을 반영하여 창조한 미술작품들은 다양한 의미를 내포하고 있다. 이를 반영한 현대 패션 또한 현 사회의 미적 가치와 문화를 담고 있으며, 본 연구를 통해 현대미술과 패션이 상호적으로 영감을 주며 두 분야를 더 발전시킬 수 있는 긍정적인 효과가 나타나길 기대한다.

Background This study examines the concepts of modern art which has a great influence on the field of fashion, and shows the indispensable relationship between fashion and its influence on contemporary art designers through the movement of contemporary art. Methods This study takes reference from research papers on art and fashion, domestic and foreign fashion magazines, professional books, online materials and pictures. In addition, it analyzes the influence of art history on contemporary fashion collections. Result Modern art plays an important role in giving an inspiration to the contemporary fashion industry. Living in the 21st century where the boundaries of art and fashion itself are vague, one can see that fashion and art are inextricably linked. Moreover, modern art and fashion will continue to create active convergence and collaboration. Conclusion The artworks that artists create reflect the culture and spirit of the time with various implications. They also contain the aesthetic values and cultures of modern societies, and we hope that this study will produce positive effects on contemporary art and fashion that can both be developed in a reciprocal manner.
