The aim of this study was to deliver drug using chitosan-b-PCL (CP) diblock copolymer, which was synthesized by radical polymerization. It has a advantage that CP with formed diblock may lead to excellent cellular uptake because of enhanced interaction between copolymer and cancer cell. Beside, paclitaxel-encapsulated CP (PCP) nanoparticle was prepared by sonication and dialysis method. The characterization of CP and PCP was analysed by 1H-NMR, FT-IR, CMC, DLS, TEM, and UV-vis studies. In addition, their cytotoxicity and anticancer activity were confirmed by MTT assay. Moreover, cellular uptake image of PCP was observed by fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometer. These results suggest that CP was able to apply as drug carrier. ** This work was supported by National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) grant funded by the Ministry of Science, ICT & Future Planning (No. NRF-2016H1D5A1910499).
