Gel polymer electrolytes (GPE) seem to be promising in recent years by possessing the advantages of both liquid and solid electrolytes such as high ionic conductivity, good mechanical integrity, flexibility, fredom from the leakage of liquid. In this study, UV-curable precursor was synthesized by reacting terminals of PEO-PPO tetra block copolymer (Tetronic90R4) with 4-vinylbenzyl chloride. The precursor was mixed with ionic liquid and photoinitiators, and the mixtures were fabricated into GPE membranes by casting and UV-curing process. The resulting GPE showed a high ion conductivity over 2.0 × 10-3 S/cm at room temperature and good elongation property of 50%. thermal propertis were evaluated by DSC and TGA. Electrochemical properties were characterized using cyclic voltammetry (CV), charge-discharge and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) test.
