이 연구에서는 인천광역시 소재 75개 중학교에 재학하고 있는 351명의 학생들을 대상으로 보건과목 선택 여부에 따른 보건교사의 서번트 리더십, 학생의 자기효능감, 건강인식, 건강증진행위 간의 구조적 관계를 분석하고, 보건교사의 서번트 리더십이 학생의 건강증진행위에 직접적으로 미치는 영향과 학생의 자기효능감, 건강인식을 매개로 하여 간접적으로 미치는 영향을 규명하고자 하였는데, 이 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보건과목을 선택하는 중학교의 경우 보건교사의 서번트 리더십은 학생의 자기효능감과 건강인식에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치며, 학생의 자기효능감과 건강인식도 건강증진행위에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 보건과목을 선택하지 않는 중학교의 경우 보건교사의 서번트 리더십은 학생의 자기효능감에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치며, 학생의 자기효능감은 건강증진행위에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보건과목을 선택하는 중학교의 경우 보건교사의 서번트 리더십은 학생의 자기효능감과 건강인식을 매개로 하여 건강증진행위에 간접적인 영향을 미치는데 비하여 보건과목을 선택하지 않는 중학교의 경우 보건교사의 서번트 리더십은 학생의 자기효능감을 매개로 하여 건강증진행위에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the structural relationship among health teacher's servant leadership, student’s self-efficacy, health perception, and health promotion behavior according to the choice of health subject in middle school. The subjects of the study were 351 students attending 75 middle schools in Incheon Metropolitan City. The study verified the hypothetical structural model, and analyzed the direct and indirect effects of health teacher's servant leadership, student's self-efficacy, and health perception on health promotion behavior. In order to verify hypothesized model and the effects of the variables of the model, a structural equation model was applied using the maximum likelihood method. The results of the structural equation model analysis show that health teacher's servant leadership affects student's self-efficacy and health perception, and student's self-efficacy and health perception affect health promotion behavior at the middle school which chooses health subject. Health teacher's servant leadership affects student's self-efficacy, and student's self-efficacy affects health promotion behavior at the middle school which does not choose health subject. The results also show that health teacher's servant leadership affects health promotion behavior indirectly by student's self-efficacy and health perception at the middle school which chooses health subject. Health teacher's servant leadership affects health promotion behavior indirectly by student's self-efficacy at the middle school which does not choose health subject.
