Pali and Sanskrit, as immigrated to mix with Thai language for long times, have mostly influenced to Thai language regarding the patterns of word formation in different ways. Thai language, as observed presently, has probably received four patterns of word formation belonging to Pali and Sanskrit for the general usage. The following four patterns; compound, secondary derivative, primary derivative and prefixation, have been brought in order to use, particularly each pattern has differently influenced to Thai word formation. So, this point makes Thai language very rich in numbers of words.
