본 연구에서는 다양한 결혼이주여성 중 가장 많은 수를 차지하는 중국계 결혼이주여성들 4명을 선정하여 중국의 춘절과 한국의 설에 대한 경험의 의미를 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 통해 그들의 춘절 문화에 대한 이해의 지평을 확장하고, 상호문화적인 관점에 기초한 공존의 가능성을 고찰해 보고자 한다. 연구 분석결과, 중국계 결혼이주여성의 경험은 시간적으로 먼저 춘절 전날과 설 명정 전날의 경험, 춘절 당일과 설 명절 당일의 경험 두 부분으로 구분되고, 다음으로는 한국의 설 명절에 바라는 점으로 범주화되었다. 결혼이주여성들이 한국 설날에 가장 바라는 점은 ‘노동의 분담’과 시댁 방문과 마찬가지로 친정 방문이었다. 그 뿐만 아니라 설날 당일에 가족행사를 마친 후에는 가족과 함께 또는 모국 출신 결혼이주여성과 만나서 재미있는 대화를 나누거나 각자 음식을 만들어서 함께 노는 일이었다. 이 연구를 통해 제언하고자 하는 점은 첫째, 한국의 문화를 강요하는 방식의 정책과는 달리, 결혼이주여성의 모국 문화를 이해할 수 있도록 TV 매체나 인터넷을 통해 재현하는 방식과, 둘째, 중국계 결혼이주여성과 한국인 배우자들에게 중국의 세시풍속에 담긴 함축된 의미 및 한국의 정서를 상호 이해시킬 수 있는 교육방법을 모색하는 것이다.

This research selected 4 Chinese marriage immigrant women, who occupy the most of married immigrant women in Korea, and examined the meaning of their experiences on Chinese New Year and Korean New Year. It aims to expand the horizons of understanding on their New Year culture and examine the possibility of coexistence based on intercultural viewpoint. Research results are as follows: Their experiences are divided into the two temporal parts as follows: the day before the New Year’s Day, the day of the New Year's Day. And also their expectations on Korean New Year Festival are classified. Their biggest desire was the sharing of housework and the visit of their parents’ home. After finishing family events at that day, they wanted to have a good conversation with their own family or with their mother country’s marriage immigrant women, and make food and play together. This research’s suggestion are as follows: First, the representation of their native country’s culture through the TV media and Internet rather than the coercion of Korean culture. Second, the education of Chinese marriage immigrant woman and her husband to intercultural understand the meaning and emotion in both countries’ customs.
