Attempts have been made to provide baseline data of wastewater quantity and quality in collective housing areas in rural village. The results of the study will be used to establish optimized wastewater treatment facilities in rural areas. Investigating measurements were carried out for five residental areas to quantify the unit loading factors of various pollutants. T
he sewage discharge from the residential areas was sampled three days a week at five sites and during four seasons. The average unit sewage flow rate was 190 ℓ/capita/day, and the average unit pollutant loading for BOD5, CODMn, SS, T-N, T-P were computed to be 36.9, 19.7, 19.6, 9.25, 0.86 g/capita/day, respectively.
