본 연구는 농촌지역의 다문화 가정의 자녀들을 사회적으로 건강하게 성장시키고 향후 지역사회와 양국가의 발전을 위한 글로벌 우수 인재로 육성하기 위한 방안을 제안하는 것이다. 이를 위해, 농촌 지역 결혼이주여성들과 다문화 가정 자녀들의 교육을 지원하는 실무자들을 대상으로 질문지를 통한 서베이와 포커스그룹 인터뷰를 병행하여 자료를 수집하였다. 양적 조사와 질적 조사를 병행하여 수집한 자료를 분석한 결과를 바탕으로, 본 연구에서는 농촌지역의 다문화 가정과 그 자녀들이 겪고 있는 문제점을 파악한 후 다문화가정 자녀들을 글로벌 시대 지역사회의 우수한 인재로 육성시키기 위한 정책적 제언과 실무적 제언을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study is to propose plans for nurturing children of multi-cultural families in rural areas as socially healthy people and globally talented people for developing communities and both countries. For this purpose, we collected data from survey through questionnaires together with focus group interviews for workers who support the education of children in multi-cultural families and married immigrant women in rural areas. Based on the results of analyzing data collected from the quantitative and qualitative studies, we identified problems which multi-cultural families and their children have experienced in rural areas. In conclusion, we presented policy and practical suggestions for nurturing children in multi-cultural families as talented people in the communities in the global era.
