본 연구는 노인의 경제, 심리적 요인 중, 노인 자살생각에 어떠한 요인이 가장 많은 영향을 미치는지, 하위요인별 분석을 통하여 자살생각에 미치는 요인들의 상관관계와 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 그 결과 노인들의 자살생각에 미치는 심리적 하위요인인 우울과 불안, 외로움이 높을수록 자살생각의 하위요인인 가족친지부담, 무료감, 고통에 있어서 모두 통계적으로 유의미한 정(+)에 영향을 미쳤다. 따라서 심리적 요인의 하위요인 모두가 노인들의 자살생각에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 경제적 요인은 노인 자살생각에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 노인들의 자살생각에는 경제적 하위 요인 중, 병원치료를 위한 부분만이 통계적으로 유의미한 부(-)의 영향을 미쳤고, 의식주 부분과 문화·커뮤니케이션 부분은 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 이는 노인들은 병원치료관련 만족도가 높을수록 자살생각이 낮음을 알 수 있다. 이러한 결과는 노인들의 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 요인은 경제적 요인보다는 심리적 요인이 중요한 변인임을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors influencing the suicidal ideation among the older adults (elderly) and the factors affecting suicidal ideation. As a result, higher psychological sub-factors such as depression, anxiety, and loneliness influenced statistically significant positive (+) in all of the subordinate factors such as family burden, free feeling, and suffering. Therefore, all of the sub - factors of psychological factors affect suicidal ideation of the elderly. However, economic factors did not seem to affect the elderly suicidal thoughts. In other words, the suicidal ideation of the elderly had a statistically significant negative effect on the hospital treatment, among the economic sub-factors, and the food, clothing, culture and communication had no statistically significant effect. This suggests that the higher the level of satisfaction with hospital treatment, the lower the suicidal ideation. These results suggest that psychological factors in the elderly peoples are more important factors than economic factors for the suicide ideation.
