본 연구는 서울지역 4년제 대학 중 비사범계열 대학에 재학 중이면서 교직이수를 하는 대학생의 교직관련 진로결정에 영향을 미치는 요인을 탐색하고자 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였고, 인터뷰를 통해 연구 결과를 보완하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 본인이 원하는 학과에 입학한 대학생일수록, 대학 재학 중 휴학을 했거나 계획한 학생들일수록 그렇지 않은 대학생보다 교직을 선택하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 학년이 높아 질수록 교직이 아닌 다른 진로를 생각하는 것으로 조사되었다. 둘째, 교직수업을 하는 교직 담당 교수자의 열정에 만족하는 학생일수록 그렇지 않은 학생보다 교직과 연관성이 높은 진로를 선택하였고, 자신의 진로와 관련하여 교직교수와 의논을 해본 학생일수록 그렇지 않은 대학생보다 교직을 선택하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 해당 대학에서 제공하는 진로, 취업 관련 교과목에 참여하였고, 이에 대한 만족도가 높은 대학생일수록 그렇지 않은 대학생보다 교직분야로의 진출을 대학 졸업 후 목표로 설정하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate factors influencing the career decision-making process of students not majoring in teacher education enrolled in teacher education courses using a logistic regression analysis. These results were supplemented with interviews. The results of the analysis were as follows. First, students not majoring in teacher education enrolled in teacher education courses made a conscious decision to become a teacher. The decision to choose the teaching profession was made while taking a leave from university or while planning their area of study once they entered university. Students not majoring in teacher education enrolled in teacher education courses with higher grades did not choose a teaching career. Second, non-education major students enrolled in teacher education courses stated the passion of their professors as an influencing factor for choosing teaching as a profession. This included individual consultation with their professors about their decision to choose teaching as a profession. Finally, non-education major students enrolled in teacher education courses stated their satisfaction with teacher education courses as a factor in their decision to choos teaching as a profession.
