The purpose of this study was to provide data for teaching communication strategies with dialogues in teaching material. For that purpose, this study compared and analyzed the communication strategies in dialogues in teaching matrial for Korean learners’ patterns of using communication strategies. To observe an influence of material when Korean learners are using communication strategies, this study observes a speech of Korean learner in interaction and analyses an aspect of use of communication strategies depending acquisition from dialogue in material. The analysis result of expression in communication strategies reveal that such expressions were not diverse in teaching material and that leaners were not able to make diverse expression. In the teaching materials for high rate of use ‘maintaining conversation strategies’, there were high rate of use in learners’ actual speech either, which implies that teaching material is influence to learners’ real speech expression.
