시발점이 아동학대로 피해를 당하게 되면 가해자에 대한 원망과 불만으로 가득 차게 되고, 이로 인해 공격적이고 폭력적이며 자기파괴적인 성격으로 변하게 된다. 이러한 변화는 학교 적응을 어렵게 할뿐만 아니라, 가출로 이어져 비행 청소년으로 이어지게 되고, 더 나아가 성인범죄로 이어지게 된다. 피학대경험에 따른 범죄자를 세밀하게 들여다보면 피해자의 가해자화로 사실상 억울한 범죄자라 하지 아니할 수 없다. 이러한 범죄자를 더 이상 범죄의 늪에서 허우적거리지 않도록 하기 위해서는 내면의 아픈 기억에 따른 삐뚤어진 사고를 변화시켜야 한다. 사고의 변화를 유도하고 과거의 아픈 내면의 상처를 치유하기 위해서는 심리치료가 최상의 방법일 것이다. 이를 위한 방법으로 화상상담과 감성로봇을 통한 심리치료와 이야기치료를 제안하고자 한다. 전자는 화상통화를 통해 피학대경험이 있는 범죄자와 외부 교정위원 또는 전문 상담사를 통해 상담을 실시하는 것이다. 후자는 감성로봇과 피학대경험이 있는 범죄자와 서로 대화를 하면서 이야기치료 형태로 진행하는 것이다. 이를 통해 서로 공감대를 형성하면서 과거 내면의 아픈 기억을 치유하는 것이다. 이렇게 한다면 범죄자의 성격적 변화를 유도할 수 있으므로 더 이상의 범죄의 유혹에서 벗어날 수 있을 것이다.

If a child is afflicted with abuse at the start of life, he or she will be full of resentment and grudge, which will make the victim aggressive, violent, and self-destructive. This will not only make school life hard, but also lead to runaway from home, ultimately resulting in adult crimes. A close investigation of abused criminals shows that these victims are unfairly driven to be offenders themselves. In order to save those offenders from the cycle from crimes, measures must be taken to correct and heal hurt and distorted memories of those victims. Psychiatrical therapies will be the best ways to improve psychological conditions and bruises in the past. A storytelling therapy aided by video conference and emotional robots will be an effective approach for this purpose. The former method is to provide abused criminals with counselling by outside correctional committees or specialized counsellors by means of video conference. The latter is to help abused criminals have conversations with robots in a form of storytelling therapy. Through these approaches empathy will be developed and old hurt memories in the past will be healed. These measures will make significant changes in the personality of those criminals and prevent them from committing further offenses.
