본 연구는 아동이 지각한 부모의 방임적 양육태도가 휴대전화의존도를 매개하여 학교적응에 영향을 미치는지 확인하기 위하여 종단자료를 이용하여 시간의 경과에 따른 변인들의 관계를 분석하였다. 구체적으로, 본 연구는 한국청소년정책연구원(NYPI)의 초등학교 5학년부터 중학교 1학년까지 반복·추적한 자료 총 2,013명을 잠재성장모형 분석 방법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학교 5학년 때 부모의 양육태도가 방임적이라고 인식한 학생은 휴대전화의존도는 높고 학교적응력은 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 휴대전화의존도가 높은 학생은 학교적응력이 낮게 나타났다. 또한 학년이 올라갈수록 부모의 양육태도가 방임적이라고 더 인식하게 되는 학생들은 휴대전화의존도는 증가하고 학교적응력은 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 학년이 올라갈수록 휴대전화의존도가 증가하는 아이들의 학교생활 적응도 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학년이 증가할수록 부모가 방임한다고 더 인식하는 아이들의 학교적응력은 점점 감소하게 되는데 있어, 휴대폰의존도가 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 부모의 방임적 양육태도를 점점 인식하게 되는 아이들은 휴대폰의존도가 증가하고 이러한 휴대폰의 존도의 증가는 학교적응력을 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다.

The aim of this study was to verify concretely the longitudinal relationship among early adolescents’ perceived parents’ neglecting attitude, mobile phone dependence, and school adaptation. Also, this study aimed to identify the longitudinal mediation effects of mobile phone dependence on the relationship between parents’ neglecting attitude and school adaptation. For achieving this aims, this study used Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS) collected by National Youth Policy Institute(NYPI). Specifically this study used the 4th grade of elementary school panel samples by the total 2,013 students who responded to all three consecutive years (the 5th grade of elementary school in 2011, the 6th grade of elementary school in 2012, the 1st grade of middle school in 2013) were analyzed, using Latent Growth Model(LGM) analysis. The results are as follows: First, the initial status of parent's neglecting attitude had a negative and significant effect on that of the phone dependence and school adaptation, and the initial status of the phone dependence had a negative and significant effect on that of the school adaptation. Also, the change rate of parent's neglecting attitude had a positive and significant effect on that of the phone dependence and had a negative and significant effect on that of school adaptation, and the change rate of the phone dependance had a negative and significant effect on that of the school adaptation. Second, it was also showed that the change rate of the phone dependance had full mediating effects on the relationship between the change rate of parent’ neglecting attitude and that of school adaptation.
