본 연구는 쌓기 놀이와 역할놀이의 통합 활동이 영아의 수학적 경험에 미치는 영향과 교육적 의미를 살펴보고자 한다. 첫째, 물리적 환경(쌓기 놀이 영역과 역할놀이 영역)이 통합된 환경에서 영아들이 경험하게 되는 수학적 경험을 살펴보고 이를 확장할 수 있도록 교육적 환경이 마련되어야 할 필요성이 있다. 둘째, 영아의 놀이가 활발히 일어나기 위해서는 쌓기 놀이 영역과 역할영역의 물리적 환경이 통합 될 필요성이 있다. 이 두 영역은 활동의 유사성 때문에 유기적으로 많이 연결되므로 두 영역을 가까운 곳에 배치하여 언제든지 영역이 통합되어 놀이가 확장 될 수 있는 환경을 제공할 수 있도록 해야 한다. 쌓기 놀이 영역과 역할놀이 영역이 통합된 환경을 제시해 영아의 사고나 활동이 확장될 수 있도록 해야 하며, 이를 통해 현장을 기반으로 해 영아들이 경험하게 되는 수학적 경험에 관한 연구가 필요할 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to find out the mathematical experience of 2year old infants in the integrated activity(block area, role-play) at a daycare center and factors influencing mathematical activities experienced at block play and role-play. The results are as follows First, the informal mathematical experiences are ‘understanding the number, space and figure, classification, understanding simple patterns in the block area. The integrated activity(block play, role-play) helped to enrich the mathematical experiences of the infants. Finally, various integrated activity helped infants' play to continue and enabled various mathematical experiences. Thereby, integrated activity became a factor enabling infants to study mathematical experiences.
