This paper is about examines the methodology of storytelling in the example of North Jeolla Province and pointed out the limitations of storytelling in the region. The first example presented the inductive method used to define the local identity, for example, in the case of Jinan in Jeollabuk-do. Jinan of Jeonbuk Province is an area that runs through the history of Honam discrimination and Donggwan. However, when approached inductively from the report on the excavation project in Jinan, it is concluded that Jinan is not being anti-Communist but rather strongly serving as the "King's escort warrior." Jinan is located in the Jinan Plateau, adjacent to Jeonju, the symbol of the Joseon Kingdom, and is a region that is closer to the king than other regions, and is in conflict with the king. As such, an inductive approach is effective in synthesis of the analysis of individual items to draw conclusions from higher-concept concepts. In particular, it is suitable for topics such as identifying local characteristics by analyzing individual items and identifying objects.
A second deductive approach is often used to the extent that it is carried out in a policy - based storytelling. It is a way of gathering arguments that can prove that the object of storytelling is already worth it. Applies to tourism content development or policy issues. Bon-go, for instance, uses the policy of creating a long-livered floating seal ecology tour site in Jeollabuk-do, a storytelling contest. The deductive methodology has the burden of proving the "reasonable" proposition, unlike the inductive one. The weaker the story itself is, the more analytical imagination is needed.
The third is the reconstruction of the context. In this Go, I heard the case of Jeongdong Hwaho-ri, Jungmok, Ipcherokbu. We have read carefully on the 'oral register' of oral records and have looked into the specifics of what needs to be explored in order to construct an epic narrative. Reconstructive reconstruction is an appropriate method when storytelling text is complicated and tangled. The emphasis should be on highlighting the symbolic elements that can reveal the theme. In this context, the method fills the gap in the story through imagination and reasoning, or it highlights the typical storyline, organizing the complicated semantic structure.
The fourth is the case of the classical nuclear plant (text). In this book, we have shown the example of converting old documents from the Gochang region into picture books, and looked at what elements are needed to utilize the text from classical nuclear plants. The first thing to solve to popularize the expertise of nuclear power plants is the 'clear writing' project based on 'reading comprehension.' Academic work and a paramedical phase of popularization is requested.
The importance of local stories is constantly being raised. Just as the movement to protect the value of intangible heritage spreads quickly in fear of globalization, the value of local stories can not be decremented. The report focused on the status and limitations of local storytelling in North Jeolla Province.
