본 연구의 목적은 청소년이 지각한 부모의 학대와 공격성, 그리고 유해매체몰입간 관계를 규명하고, 부모의 학대가 유해매체몰입에 미치는 영향을 공격성이 매개하는지 검증함으로써 유해매체관련 문제행동에 대응할 수 있는 사회복지적 개입방안을 모색하는 것이다. 연구문제를 해결하기 위해 한국청소년정책연구원이 구축한 한국아동·청소년패널조사2010(KCYPS 2010)의 중학교 1학년 패널 2차년도 자료를 사용하여 구조방정식 모형으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 부모의 학대는 중학생 자녀의 공격성에 정적 영향을 미쳐 부모로부터 학대를 많이 받을수록 공격성 수준은 높아졌다. 공격성도 유해매체몰입에 정적 영향을 미쳐 공격성 수준이 높아질수록 유해매체몰입수준도 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 부모의 학대는 중학생 자녀의 유해매체몰입수준에 정적 영향을 미쳤으며, 마지막으로, 공격성은 부모의 학대와 유해매체몰입간 관계를 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과에 기반하여 청소년의 유해매체몰입 관련 부적응 문제를 예방하고 대처할 수 있는 사회복지 실천적 함의와 이론적 함의를 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship among child abuse, aggression and harmful media overuse, and to test the mediating effect of aggression between child abuse and juvenile delinquency. To investigate the mediating effect, structural equation model was used and data were analyzed using bootstrapping method This study used data from the wave 2 of Korean Children and Youth Panel Study (KCYPS), and analyzed data of 2,277 second grade middle school students. The results of the present study are as follows. First, abuse has a significant positive effect on aggression. Second, child abuse has a significant positive effect on harmful media overuse. Third, aggression has a significant positive effect on harmful media overuse. Fourth, aggression has a mediating effect between child abuse and harmful media overuse. Finally, theoretical and practical implications of these findings and suggestions are discussed.
