본 연구는 중급 단계에 있는 한국어 학습자를 대상으로 효율적이고 원활한 읽기를 돕기 위한 談話標識語목록 구성 및 그 활용 방안을 마련하는 것을 目的으로 하고 있다. 연구 방법으로는 우선, 한국어 읽기 교육 현황을 살펴보기 위하여 경희대학교, 연세대학교, 이화여자대학교의 중급 한국어 교재를 대상으로 교재 내 읽기 텍스트에 사용된 담화 표지어의 유형, 종류, 빈도를 분석하였다. 다음으로 이연정(2009)에 수록된 한국어 교사를 대상으로 한 현행 읽기 교육 관련 설문조사 결과를 토대로 ‘한국어 읽기 교육 현황’ 및 ‘담화 표지어 교수현황’을 제시하였다. 두 결과를 토대로 ‘중급 읽기를 위한 담화 표지어 목록’을 정리하고, ‘담화 표지어를 활용한 읽기 수업 방안’에 관하여 논의하였다. 본 연구를 통해 談話標識語가 한국어 읽기에 있어서 읽기 전략으로서 주목받고, 적극 활용됨으로써 학습자들의 읽기 향상에 도움이 되기를 기대한다.

The aim of this study is to present ways to develop reading-skill of intermediate Korean students for using discourse markers. For this purpose, above all, I analyzed types, patterns, frequency of discourse markers from the intermediate Korean textbooks(Exploring Korean Intermediate Ⅰ·Ⅱ, Yonsei Korean Ⅱ·Ⅲ, Pathfinder in Korean Ⅲ·Ⅳ). Second, in a basis from the survey about Korean reading on Korean teachers of Lee(2009) examined current status of the reading classes and reading instruction method using teaching discourse markers. Finally, I gave demonstrations of discourse markers list for intermediate Korean reading and explained reading instruction method using teaching discourse markers. I hope that lots of Korean language teachers and students pay attention to discourse markers for the strategy of korean reading. Also I expect that this research can get help to develop reading proficiency of intermediate Korean language students.
